My Pathways to Employment
My Pathways to Employment (5 weeks online) is designed for Ontario Works recipients with an extended history of unemployment, multiple barriers to employment, and those who are unclear about career pathways or pathways to employment.
Program components:
- Intake and assessment
- Pre-employment development sessions (80 hours for 4 weeks): employment assessment, career exploration, pathway to employment, essential and life skills development
- Post program and post hiring support for 6 months
Eligibility criteria: OW recipients with extended history of unemployment, those who have multiple barriers to employment or are immigrants to Canada. Able to communicate in English, equivalent of ESL intermediate level of LINC level 4-5, unclear employment goals or unsure of steps to obtain employment.
Funding source: Toronto Employment and Social Services (TESS); No fees are charged to clients for services provided.
