Marwan Ismail
Executive Director

Marwan's role as Executive Director is to work with the board of directors to develop and plan all aspects of Polycultural's operations. Marwan's more than 12 years of leadership experience ranges from corporate social responsibility and sustainability, project/program management, strategic business planning, policy development and change management, to communications, marketing and fundraising.
Marwan has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. He is a certified Project Management Professional and has Certificates in Social Economy and Leadership from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Continuing Education.
Slavek Suszek
Director of Finance and Administration

Slavek Suszek has been the Director, Finance and Administration of Polycultural Immigrant and Community Services since November 2008. Slavek joined Polycultural in November 1991 as a part-time Accountant when Polycultural was still Polish Immigrant Aid Services.
Before joining Polycultural, Slavek worked as a consultant for John Deke and Associates, specializing in small business start-ups, closely-held corporations, non-profit audits and individual and trust tax consulting. Slavek has attended Agricultural University in Lublin, Poland, Humber College in Toronto, and has continued his education through the completion of Accounting, IT and Management courses at the University of Toronto and with the Certified General Accountants of Ontario.
Harriet Obodo, CHRP, CHRL
Director of Human Resources

With over 10 years of Human Resources education and experience, Harriet serves as an advisor to Polycultural’s senior management and board of directors on matters of organizational development, change management, employee engagement, performance management and all employee matters in order to enhance business performance and efficiency. With a background in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the University of Lagos, Harriet is the organizational expert on labour relations and occupational health and safety.
Harriet also has a certificate in Business Analysis, Health and Safety and is a graduate of University of Toronto’s Continuing Education program in Human Resources Management.
Nadia Sokhan
Director of Monitoring, Reporting and Partnerships

As the Director of Monitoring, Reporting and Partnerships Nadia leads the monitoring of program performance, develops service delivery guidelines, reports to stakeholders and establishes partnerships to enhance service delivery. Nadia originally joined Polycultural in 1998 and has been involved in service delivery, program management, and has lead the operation of five service delivery sites. Nadia was directly involved in developing and delivering the majority of programs offered by Polycultural and has firsthand knowledge of program and service delivery.
Nadia is a co-chair of the Planning and Coordinating Committee of the Toronto West Local Immigration Partnership and a member of the Steering Committee.
